Boat hull thickness is determined by vessel size, design pressure, frame spacing, alloy condition, welding details and class or regulatory requirements. Thickness should not be selected from a generic chart alone.
Fabrication Planning
Control heat input, filler selection, joint preparation and post-fabrication cleaning. Isolate aluminum from incompatible metals to reduce galvanic corrosion risk.
